ABOUT

I've been on the other side of the product

Today I lead the design of SlothVet, an AI product for veterinarians, and I use AI every day to build faster. What I like is the middle ground between the user and the technical team, where it gets decided what is built and why. I reached it through support, research, product design and automation, and I haven't wanted to leave since.

The tools keep changing. Understanding the person in front of the product doesn't.

Researched in the field

Interviewed vets inside real clinics, not just over Zoom.

Support-to-product pipeline

Answered support tickets full-time before I opened Figma.

Design with a business lens

Sold the product I design, at trade shows and through a CRM.

Side projects I took past the mockup

Two personal products: one shipped to users in a week, one validated with pilots and passengers and never built.

EXPERIENCE

What I actually shipped at Wakyma

Since 2023 I've been part of Wakyma Innovation, a Spanish veterinary SaaS startup. There I've worked across two products, Wakyma Vets and SlothVet, taking on roles that go well beyond design.

Wakyma's flagship product, Wakyma Vets, is a cloud-based veterinary practice management software used by clinics, hospitals, and mobile vets across Spain.

I joined in customer support and grew into product design, with field research inside the clinics themselves. Having also run sales and marketing means I can make the business case for a feature myself.

Over my time as product designer I've built and improved many sections of the software. Among all of them, two stand out: a full communication module with WhatsApp Business API integration for campaigns, appointment reminders, and chatbot flows; and the native integration of SlothVet into the Wakyma ecosystem, making AI tools accessible directly from the software vets already use every day.

Founding Product DesignerAI Strategy

SlothVet is the AI product for veterinary clinics we built inside Wakyma to give vets back the time admin steals from patient care. I've been its product designer from day one.

My focus is how a vet and an AI assistant work together: how the vet talks to it, trusts it, and corrects it as it turns a live consultation into structured clinical notes. I grounded that work in continuous discovery, pairing patterns from support with on-site clinic research.

Vets now use it in consultation to turn what they say into clinical notes, and it gives each clinic back dozens of hours of manual admin a month. Beyond the interface I drove adoption with the business and operations teams, and demoed it live to clinic owners at AEVETVAL, AVEPA, and Iberzoo+Propet.
